Sariana Kirk

Office Assistant

Hi!  My name is Sariana Kirk, I’m 19 years old, I’m the 2nd oldest of 9 children, and I’m from Vegreville, AB.  I decided to join Pure Witness to grow deeper in my faith and have a more personal relationship with Christ so that I could share it with others.

I am hoping that the Lord transforms my life this year through community, faith formation, and through the youth I encounter.  I also want to be a light to the youth so they can see the fruits of living for Christ.  I have grown up in a culture that teaches us that individualism is central to life and I want to send a different message: that peace and love can be found through a living God, Jesus Christ.

I would appreciate any support, whether through prayers or financially, to be able to carry out this mission.  I know the fruits of this year will carry on through the rest of my life and I can’t wait to share the good news of the gospel!

Thank You and God Bless!

Sariana

Michael Salamida

Retreat Leader

Hi everyone!  My name is Michael Salamida and I am from Pensacola, FL.  I am 21 years old and I have 6 siblings, one niece, and one nephew.  I enjoy many fun activities including snowboarding, frisbee, watching any super hero movie, and playing board games with friends.  I graduated high school in Pensacola back in 2016 and I have been with Pure Witness ever since.

This is my third year with Pure Witness Ministries.  I am very excited to continue my journey doing what I love to do: sharing the joy of the Gospel with others and encouraging them to set Christ at the heart of their lives.  It's worth the giving of self 100% to show every student we've ever ministered to how much God loves them.  I love the joy of these students' faces as they walk away changed that day and their excitement to share with their parents what they learned.  As they walk by you, giving you the best high five ever, singing the song that you taught them.  The joy that the love of Jesus brings them in a 2 hour retreat -- that's what I love.  And I am very excited to continue to share this message with students this year!

I continue to pray for the students I get to witness to in retreats to come and in retreats past.  Thank you for all of your love and support that you have all given the last few years.  Every prayer goes a long way.  Due to the prayers and support from our monthly donors, we have witnessed to thousands of students over the last 7 years.  This ministry cannot continue to reach out to students without people's financial support and most importantly not without the continued prayers of so many people.

Thank you and God Bless,
Michael Salamida

Laura Rice

Laura Rice

Events Coordinator & Communications Manager

Hello there!

My name is Laura Rice!  Nice to meet you!  Let me tell you a little bit about myself ... I was born and raised in Saskatoon in a family with 7 children.  Our family has grown significantly over the years and I now have 7 (soon to be 10!) beautiful nieces and nephews.  Things I quite enjoy include photography, puzzles of all kinds, coffee, skiing and snowboarding, random adventures, holding babies and playing with children, and being with my friends!  After I graduated high school in 2011 I volunteered with Pure Witness part-time, and the following year I joined their first full-time team.  This is now my seventh full-time year working with Pure Witness Ministries!  I love being a part of this ministry in this pioneering time when there is so much growth and change happening and I get to be part of that growth first hand!

Working with Pure Witness is such an incredible joy for me.  I have such a love and passion for this work, keeping myself busy with a balance of outreach and office work.  I work in the office as the Communications Manager doing things such as advertising for events, creating promotional products, running the website and social media pages, photography, and more.  I also get to help organize and run local events and programs such as our Anchor and Reach programs and larger events like the YEPs, Family Events, Fundraiser Dinner, and soon the Family Camp.  And I love all of it!

Thank you for your prayer and support for this beautiful ministry over the years.  It all goes a long way to help us to serve the Church in loving a generation back to Christ!  Because of our generous supporters we have been able to reach thousands of youth and families from all across Western Canada, and I have also been able to continue to have a job that I love.  This ministry cannot survive without people’s financial support and most definitely not without the continued prayers of so many people!  Thank you so much!

God Bless,

Laura

Retreat Leader & Music Coordinator

Hi, my name is Matthew Marcoux and I am from Saskatoon, SK.  I am so excited to be able to once again work part time with Pure Witness, this year as the Music Coordinator.  Not many people get an opportunity like this while still in high school, so I am so grateful that I am able to use my gifts and talents in this way to serve the Church.  I am excited to be working with the missionaries this year as well as continuing to grow in my own music abilities and in my relationship with God and with the Pure Witness community.

Please keep myself and the other missionaries in your prayers this year as we work to build the Kingdom of God!

God Bless

Matthew
